- The guys want to play games with their food. Hao Qian and Ming Jun had hatched a plan to help Ming Jun get Xia Tian to meet his dad.
- An Ning and Hao Qian play poker and Xia Tian and Ming Jun play chess. The loser drinks.
- An Ning’s mom and grandpa prepare her dowry.
- Hao Qian stays with An Ning before sleeping. His head starts hurting. An Ning sees into his memory.
- She sees Hao Qian stop a girl from getting raped before getting hit himself. The girl is her sister, An Yi.
- An Ning wakes up from the memory and is scared. Hao Qian realizes something is wrong and leaves. An Ning also leaves, crying.
- An Ning thinks back to her sister promising to spend An Ning’s birthday with her. She can’t believe things turned out like this.
- Hao Qian looks at his old yearbook and sees An Yi’s name.
- An Ning visits her sister. An Yi tells her to not cry and to let go. Hao Qian locks himself in his room.
- Mr. Ling and Meng Lu play golf. Meng Lu tells him she feels out of place in his world and that they won’t work out. He knows she loves Gong Chen. They part as friends.
The Breakup
- An Ning drops off a letter and the engagement ring in Hao Qian’s office. He cries.
- An Ning resigns from the hotel. She doesn’t tell anyone what happened.
- Hao Qian finds her in the mall. He wants to chat.
