This post is for The Protectors Episode 5 Recap
- The team arrive in Reykjavík, Iceland. They’ve come in search for the blue ice caves. They meet Iceland’s tourism special envoy, Siga. They must participate in the challenge she’s given and help offset their carbon emissions. Siga gives them Iceland’s tourism declaration.
- They depart the airport and Zi Tao drives. They go to fill up gas and buy food. For dinner, they eat fish and chips, pizza, sushi.
- Zi Tao has trouble filling up gas because it’s all in Icelandic. He figures it out and they head to their accommodation. They run into engine problems. They realize they might have put in gas instead of diesel. Zi Tao feels it is his fault and the others comfort him. They wait for a new car to come. Dong Yu suggests they use the staff car and change cars in the morning to get to their accommodation faster.
- The next day they eat breakfast and play games to make the other laugh.
- After, they head out for a glacier adventure and arrive to Jökulsárlón, a glacier lagoon. They meet their guide Sindri and ride an ice jeep to go search for ice caves.
- They hike across the glacier and find the ice cave. To go down they have to scale down the glacier. After, they explore the ice cave and try some glacier water. They take pictures and capture their memories as the ice caves will disappear soon.
- After, they head to dinner back in the city. Their step count is below their carbon emission for the day. Because of this, they lose their car for tomorrow.
