Plot Synopsis:
In Shanghai during the 1920s and 1930s, Cheng Yi Zhi, who was born with a humble background, meets banker Wu Zhi Fu and his daughter Li Zi by chance. Since then, it was like being illuminated by a little light, igniting his inner ideals.
He resigns from the industrial and commercial shop, enters the financial industry, and grows up quickly, becoming the most trusted person of the owner of the money house, Boss Huang.
Cheng Yi Zhi and Li Zi get married, but discover that Boss Huang had single-handedly caused Wu Zhi Fu’s death, and also colluded with various forces to build a huge black gold empire.
After knowing the truth, Cheng Yi Zhi resolutely chooses ideals, beliefs and national justice, and leaves Boss Huang. Cheng Yi Zhi and Li Zi used to be a fake couple, but they become soul mates after experiencing difficulties.
They are not afraid of difficulties, and create a new bank together. Cheng Yi Zhi takes sincerity as the foundation and supports the nation, as if he was once illuminated.
They do their best to shine, and even if they were weak, they illuminate the difficult path of some industrialists. During this period, they are attacked by Boss Huang and the Japanese. Even in the darkest years, the bank almost falls into the hands of the Japanese but they persevere.
In the end, with the help of the underground party, Cheng Yi Zhi and the industrialists unite and break through the barriers hand in hand, doing their best to benefit the people and rejuvenate the country.
