Summary: The Chinese drama is adapted from Guan Pingchao’s novel “The Legend of Sword and Fairy”. It tells the story of Han Lingsha, Yun Tianhe, Murong Ziying and Liu Mengli who experience adventures and trials on their way to protect the common people, and gain friendship and growth through tribulations. It is the story of passionate immortals who work together to avert disaster and change their destiny.
Plot Synopsis:
Nineteen years ago, the Qionghua Sect uses Wangshu and Xihe’s double sword net to bind the demon world and steal spiritual power from it, triggering a war between humans and demons, with both sides suffering heavy casualties.
Yun Tianqing and Suyu, both disciples of the Qionghua Sect, leave Qionghua and arrive at Qingluan Peak to give birth to a son, Yun Tianhe, due to their differences over the Qionghua Sect’s philosophy of cultivating immortals.
Suyu passes away not long after. The young Yun Tianhe does not know the past of his parents. His father Yun Tianqing also dies of illness, leaving him alone to grow up in the mountains.
Yun Tianhe encounters Han Lingsha, a girl who breaks into his parents’ tomb, and together they go down the mountain to search for his parents’ past. Halfway through, he meets another girl, Liu Mengli.
In order to understand his father’s past, Yun Tianhe, Han Lingsha and Liu Mengli join the Qionghua Sect and became disciples. Qionghua sends Murong Ziying, who was about the same age, to teach them, and the four of them become fast friends.
As Tianhe’s background is gradually revealed, the four people who originally cherish each other fall into deep pain and confusion. In the end, Yun Tianhe joins hands with his best friends and embarks on the road of salvation that defies fate and changes their lives.
