Plot Synopsis:
In the 20th year of Yongle, the Ming Dynasty was blessed with good weather, and the country was peaceful.
In order to entertain the endless envoys of various countries, Emperor Yongle chooses not to stick to one pattern, and selects women who are good at cooking to enter the palace, enabling the food bureau of Ming Dynasty to flourish.
After many selections, young girl Yao Zi Jin is selected as a maid for the Shangshi Bureau, and she happens to meet Yin Zi Ping, Su Yue Hua and others who also participates in the election.
The three of them come up with amazing ideas, innovate hundreds of fresh dishes, and bring back famous dishes from ancient books. Zi Jin goes from a palace maid to a dianshan step by step, improving her cooking skills gradually, and develops a sincere relationship with the Emperor’s grandson Zhu Zhan Ji.
From the twists and turns of the two people’s emotional story, the drama shows the historical achievements and life of the three outstanding emperors of the Ming Dynasty, and depicts a picture of ancient life full of family, friendship, love, and sincerity.
It also reveals the true meaning of “food”, that is, food is a bridge that promotes communication between people and different cultures, and Chinese food culture is one of the most important cultural treasures that affects neighbouring countries and the world.
