- Yin Guo gets news that Li Guo has taken 15 cities from Xia Tang. One of them has a direct route to Yin Guo. The grand princess discusses what to do with her advisor.
- The Xia Tang King has no choice but to oblige to the grand princess’ request of soldiers. They want to use Gui Chen and Qing Yang tribe.
- The trainees fight against Li Guo prisoner soldiers. Gui Chen and Ji Ye fight against one of them. Bai Li Yin comes in and kills the female prisoner.
- Gui Chen tells Ji Ye he only fights to save, not to kill.
- Gui Chen talks to Lady Shu. She tells him of a hero who held a mighty sword.
- The King wants Bai Li Yin to own the special sword. Bai Li Yin is Lady Shu’s husband’s son. Lady Shu thinks he’s not ready but the King pressures her.
- A Li Guo official looks for the sword. He pays a witch for information.
- Lady Shu visits Bai Li Yin. He asks how his father died.
- Yu Ran visits Gui Chen.
- Bai Li Yin knows his father was the leader of Tian Qu and took the sword to leave to Xia Tang. He thinks Lady Shu was one of the many who tried to kill his father.
- Lady Shu talks to General Xi. He thinks it’s not her responsibility to protect the sword.
- The three wander the city.
