Ji Ye’s First Encounter with Tian Qu
- Yu Ran visits Gui Chen.
- Ji Ye meets a cloaked stranger who recognizes his spear. Qian Zheng comes in and bows to the stranger.
- Thee Ji family is part of Tian Qu. Their whole family was eliminated because of their affiliation with Tian Qu.
- The stranger and Qian Zheng fight. Ji Ye’s father gets injured. The stranger spares Qian Zheng’s life and leaves.
- Yu Yi advises the King to find another girl for Gui Chen. He suggests Yu Ran.
- Ji Ye follows the stranger. He asks the stranger to teach him martial arts and spear play. Ji Ye hates that his whole life he hasn’t been worthy. He wants to be better than everyone else.
- The stranger shows Ji Ye the dragon slaying technique once and leaves.
- Qian Zheng burns the Tian Qu ring. Ji Ye retrieves it.
Gui Chen and Yu Ran
- Gui Chen finally wakes. Lady She takes care of him and gives him back the Tian Qu ring. She has one as well.
- Yu Ran comes to visit Gui Chen. They bicker.
- Lady Shu bathes Gui Chen. She says he was looking at Yu Ran intently.
- Yu Ran receives the title of Princess. She asks her aunt why she became Princess.
- At night everyone attends the royal family feast. The King introduces Gui Chen to the royals. They chat about the Yu tribe.
- Gui Chen is unfamiliar with Eastern etiquette.
- Yu Ran enters. She sits beside Gui Chen. The King asks Yu Ran if she wants to go to the tribes with Gui Chen.
- Yu Ran realizes she’s to marry Gui Chen. She objects and walks out.
- Gui Chen and Lady Shu walk back. They run into Bai Li Yin.
