- Gui Chen asks Xiao Zhou to tell him the truth about his past. Tian Zhan comes before she has the chance to tell him.
- Tian Zhan asks about Yu Ran’s past. She doesn’t tell him.
- Bandits arrive to the village. They ask the villagers to hand over money, One of them start to harass Xiao Zhou.
- Yu Ran, Ji Ye and Tian Zhan head home. They see a dead bandit and Xiao Zhou and Gui Chen in shock. Tian Zhan tells Ji Ye to get rid of the body.
- Xiao Zhou tells everyone it was the two orphans that came and saved her.

Yu Ran and Ji Ye
- Yu Ran tells Ji Ye she doesn’t want him seeing Ying Yu. He smiles and agrees. Yu Ran imagines life in the village with Ji Ye.
- The village leaders asks Ji Ye to head to the mountains to collect materials. The village prepares to fight the bandits.
- Yu Ran waves goodbye to Ji Ye. Xiao Zhou realizes something is wrong. Yu Ran drinks soup from an old lady. Xiao Zhou sees that the sword is missing.
Tian Zhan’s Betrayal
- Tian Zhan brings Gui Chen to the mountains. He tells Gui Chen has the identity ofTian Qu leader. Tian Zhan wants to kill Gui Chen and take the sword back.
- Xiao Zhou comes. She hurts herself to provoke Gui Chen. Gui Chen starts to fight Tian Zhan but remembers and stops. Xiao Zhou asks Tian Zhan to spare him.
