- Ye Miao asks about Ye Lin’s last words to her. He wants to let his mom know what Ye Lin said. Rui Ning says it’s better she suffer herself by knowing.
- Ye Miao calls Chen Mo and asks what happened these past three years he left. Hua Hua tells him Rui Ning got severe depression. After, she came back to Xiling University and became the best student. But, she only hid that she got better.
- Rui Ning wakes up, hearing voices. She dreams of seeing Ye Lin. He tells her he has to go now and he doesn’t blame her. He tells her to tell Ye Miao his last words.
- Ye Miao tells Jing Sheng to check up on Rui Ning regularly.
- Rui Ning is on the rooftop where her mom jumped off. Ye Miao pulls her away from the ledge. Shen Zhen arrives.
- Rui Ning and Shen Zhen chat at a teahouse. Shen Zhen knows Rui Ning isn’t wealthy like before. She tells her to stay away from Ye Miao and just do her work.
- Mrs. Ye is back and looks at Ye Lin’s picture. She’s depressed.
- Rui Ning cries. Ye Miao comes in to give her a glass of milk. As he leaves, Rui Ning holds onto him. She apologizes and he hugs her back.
- Shen Zhen sees them hugging. He tells her she’s a nobody to him. He tells her to stay and do her job quietly without bothering Rui Ning.
