- The directors want to change the female lead. Ye Lin suggests Rui Ning.
- Fang Yuan opposes Rui Ning but Ye Lin says Rui Ning can use recordings for the singing portions.
- Rui Ning promotes her lamb skewers to the directors to get the remaining funds.
- Ye Lin tells Shen Zhen she’s no longer the female lead. Shen Zhen cries. Rui Ning gives her the 1000 RMB and Shen Zhen tells her to hit her. Rui Ning tells her she’ll give the money to the kids. She slaps Shen Zhen in front of everyone.
- Rui Ning says she never did anything wrong but Shen Zhen still hated her. She’s won fair and square this time. Shen Zhen walks away and Ye Miao tells her to give back her costume to Rui Ning.
Rui Ning Becomes Female Lead
- Rui Ning and Ye Lin complete their scene and he kisses her on the forehead, though it’s unscripted. Ye Miao watches.
- Rui Ning meets her mom. Her mom thinks the forehead kiss doesn’t fit the musical. Rui Ning agrees. She tells her mom not to worry about her and Ye Lin.
- Mr. Ye tells Ye Lin not to be distracted by love and focus on his studies. Ye Miao supports Ye Lin and feels he always followed their dad’s requests and didn’t sway from their dad’s path for him.
- Then, Ye Miao tells his dad he and Ye Lin both like Rui Ning. They leave for school.
- Ye Miao asks Ye Lin why he likes Rui Ning. They both won’t give up on her.
- Rui Ning comes to talk to Ye Lin. She apologizes to him. She likes Ye Miao.
- Rui Ning texts Ye Miao at night. He’s happy she texted him because it indicates she made her choice.
