- The director wants the school to make the children wear older uniforms and look poor. The principal doesn’t agree. They decide on new clothes.
- Rui Ning steps in and decides to sponsor the children’s uniforms.
- Ye Miao and Rui Ning talk. He feels he can’t keep up with her and she tells him to run faster. He tells her he has chased her.
- Rui Ning feels a normal classmate wouldn’t do this. Ye Miao agrees. He starts to confess but Uncle Yan interrupts.
- Ye Lin finds his dad to bring him home. Ning Mo is with him.
- The next morning Rui Ning and Ye Miao eat breakfast and head out to the market.
- Ye Lin apologizes to his dad for last night. His dad was in an important meeting to restore the Mountain-River Painting.
- After, they head home. Ye Lin asks his dad to treat his mom better. Mr. Ye tells him the importance of restoring the painting, and why he has to be so busy.
- Ye Miao and Rui Ning roam the market. Uncle Yan has sold the goose in exchange for the uniforms.
- Ye Miao lectures Uncle Yan on the bad quality uniforms. He thinks Uncle Yan should treat the kids better. He heads out to buy uniforms himself.
- Ning Mo tells Rui Ning the school has cancelled their decision to stop Rui Ning from attending classes and that she should head back to school.
- Ye Miao brings the goose back home.
