- Uncle Yan gives Rui Ning and Ye Miao extra clothing to wear. They eat dinner with a little kid, Yan Xiao Dou.
- Ye Miao talks with Xiao Dou before bed.
- Ye Lin takes a taxi to Uncle Yan’s. He receives a call that his mom got alcohol poisoning and heads back into the city.
- Uncle Yan makes Rui Ning and Ye Miao wake early. They have to follow his rules. Rui Ning has to cook and Ye Miao has to break stones.
- Mrs. Ye was sad because Mr. Ye didn’t come home, even for their anniversary. She over drinks and gets sick. Ye Lin visits her in the hospital. She tells him to not tell Ye Miao.
- Ye Miao doesn’t understand what the point of breaking rocks is for. He doesn’t find it interesting. Uncle Yan explains to him the importance of it for cultural art.
- Rui Ning blames Ye Miao for the kitchen mess up. Uncle Yan tries to hit him.
- Zhang Zhe from Xing Kong cultural entertainment company arrives.
- Ye Lin arrives at practice. He tells Shen Zhen no one looks at her as poor and to stop thinking so exaggerated. She doesn’t agree.
- Uncle Yan doesn’t want to sell his rock. They eat lunch together.
- Teachers from Xiao Dou’s school comes. They want to record a program and for Xiao Dou to cry and look like he is in a poor situation.
