- It starts with Ye Miao talking about how memory is a tricky thing and how he can forget about everything but Rui Ning.
- We flash back to six years ago. It’s freshman orientation at Xiling University for the preservation of cultural relics majors.
- Xia Rui Ning sees Ye Lin, who was her childhood violin friend. She’s in love with him.
- Shen Zhen, the freshman rep gives a speech. Rui Ning interrupts and confesses to Ye Lin. Ye Miao tells her Ye Lin won’t like her.
- Rui Ning remembers she met Ye Miao earlier and they were chased by a goose.
- Shen Zhen messes up her speech. Fang Yuan, her senior, lectures her. Fang Yuan removes her from the subsidy list.
- Shen Zhen runs into Ye Miao. Her dress gets caught and he rips it.
- Rui Ning tells Hua Hua she’s destined to be with Ye Lin. Hua Hua sits on a gold living statue by accident.
- Rui Ning stops Ye Lin and tells him she wasn’t joking and truly likes him. Ye Miao sees and tries to stop them. Rui Ning drags Ye Lin away.
- They hide in a studio and get discovered by the vice dean and their mothers.
- Ye Lin talks to his mother. Rui Ning is the daughter of Ning Mo, whom he wants as a teacher but his mother opposes.
Military Camp
- Everyone gets on the bus to head to military training camp. Ye Miao sits beside Rui Ning. He tells her to stop liking his brother.
- They arrive to camp. Rui Ning confesses to Ye Lin again.
- Rui Ning rooms with Shen Zhen. She apologizes for the orientation. The dress was from Rui Ning.
