Summary: The Chinese drama takes place during the 1990s to present day. Under the guidance of the national poverty alleviation policy and the counterpart assistance of Fujian, the people of Xihaigu relocate. They constantly overcome various difficulties and explore ways to alleviate poverty. It is a story of turning the “dry sand beach” into a “golden sand beach”.
Plot Synoposis:
The government establishes the Diaozhuang base and calls on the farmers in Xiji to emigrate and relocate.
However, the desert conditions of flying sand and rocks make it difficult to settle down. At last, the relocated villagers only make it halfway.
Ma De Fu tries every means possible to mobilize everyone to go to Diaozhuang and help the villagers.
In 1996, the Central Party Committee makes a strategic plan to promote the counterpart cooperation between the East and the West. Fujian is called on to help Ningxia and jointly promote poverty alleviation in Ningxia.
Fujian experts arrive to the village to teach the villagers how to grow mushrooms. They try their best to find a market to sell the mushrooms.
The cadres in Fujian encourage and promote the export of labor services in Ningxia. Together, they actively create conditions for the villagers to go to Fujian to work.
Poverty alleviation policies blossom in all directions, and Minning Town slowly begins to take shape.
Zhang Shu Cheng takes up the post of Secretary of the Party Committee of Minning Town. While continuing the three-level water lift project, he strengthens labor export and investment promotion.
Minning Town’s old look changes and more and more villagers sign up for relocation.
Time flies. Minning Town gets better and better. Slowly, the land takes on new life.
