Summary: The Chinese drama is based on Zhou Yi Fei’s novel of the same name, and follows Xu Dong Yang and Li Wen Jia who travel far from home to Shanghai to pursue their dreams.

Plot Synopsis:

Li Wen Jia, an educated youth from a well-off family who returns to Shanghai and Xu Dong Yang, a young man from Northeastern China who applies for a job in Shanghai are commonly known as “Hu Piao” youth.

They become acquainted with one another due to SARS in 2003, but are separated because of fate. In 2020, they meet again during the anti-pandemic fight.

While fettered by the ups and downs of their fate, the two witness 17 years of urban changes in Shanghai.

Her early experience makes her hate speculators, and the life of Hai Diao enriches her philosophy of survival. In the end, she finds her own stage in her career, and blooms into a confident woman.
