Plot Synopsis:
A story focusing around the Lu siblings and their lives. During the 1990s, the siblings grew up together poor. They came from nothing and the drama focuses on their lives over the next 20 years. The Shanghai economy and capital markets went through rough times and turbulence and they were able to make a name for themselves.
Lu Jiang Tao started to loose himself and his identity as he became more wealthy. He was indifferent to hurting people and crossing lines and was set on using any means possible to get wealthy. He uses his lover and his younger sister for monetary gains and it brings them all nothing but anguish and pain. The oldest brother, Lu Hai Bo, has strong morals. He values family and pursues good business ethics. The siblings must learn to put aside their differences and despair to be successful.

Ren Zhong 任重 as Lu Jiang Tao 陆江涛
Lu Jiang Tao is an orphan who lost his parents since childhood. He lives with his step-brother Lu Hai Bo, and step-sister Lu Si Qi. He grew up extremely poor and works to make a name for himself.
Guo Xiao Dong 郭晓东 as Lu Hai Bo 陆海波
The eldest brother of Lu siblings and regards family as his whole life. In order to raise his younger siblings, Lu Hai Bo came out to work early. He struggled to make a career but through hard-work and wisdom, he fights to create a business.
Li Nian 李念 as Wen Quan 温泉
A Shanghai girl who grew up in the alley and is beautiful, smart, and sweet. She is straightforward, playful and cute. She is willing to go against her family for love.
Che Xiao 车晓 as Lin Xia 林霞
Born in a high-ranking family, Che Xiao is a college student, knowledgeable, gentle, and understanding. She did not know that the moral bottom line is often the lowest in those facing extreme poverty, and she has never been exposed to the world of people like Lu Jiang Tao.
