Plot Synopsis:
iPartment is a sitcom that details the lives of seven youths in their mid-to-late 20s. Much like its US counterpart, Friends, the show focuses on these neighbours in a Shanghai apartment. The complex, named iPartment, was opened by a wealthy philanthropist. He wanted to provide it to young couples at a discounted rate after being touched by a wedding. Each person has a a different profession of their own and often gets into funny and very relatable situations.
For Season 5 of iPartment, some of the group have gotten married while some new tenants have moved into the apartment complex. Some in the group have now settled down with their partners and have continued on to the next chapter of their life. But, married life also presents new surprises and its on set of ups and downs. Then, there are those who are still looking for their love and jump around from date to date. Will everyone find love in the end and have a happy ever after?

Lou Yi Xiao 娄艺潇 as Hu Yi Fei
She is a PhD graduate who works as a lecturer at her university. Hu Yi Fei is tough and strong willed. She is like a tomboy and loves competition. Yi Fei is the most mature and Westernized of the females in iPartment. She thinks pole dancing and one-night stands are completely okay, unlike her other more traditional friends.
Li Jia Hang 李佳航 as Zhang Wei
A lawyer, he is kind-hearted and always keen to help others, but very unlucky and also quite stingy, often claiming he is saving money to buy his own house.
Sun Yi Zhou 孙艺洲 as Lu Zi Qiao
A mixed-race (Chinese-Korean) young man from Sichuan who moved into the apartment next-door at the beginning of the series. Zi Qiao was raised by his father to become a con man. He didn’t agree with his father’s profession and left to pursue a stable future in iPartment.
Li Jin Ming 李金铭 as Chen Mei Jia
She is childish, cheerful and ditzy, and gets easily attracted to cute things. She is also horrible at mathematics.
Chen He 陈赫 as Zeng Xiao Ran
A Shanghainese host for the late-night radio talk show “Your Moon, My Heart” and a double major grad in history and philosophy. He is kind, sensitive but wimpy. Xiao Ran often seems to be forced into situations that are out of his control.
