- Cong Xiao comes into Fan Xing’s office and gives her tea to help with her period. Fan Xing tells Cong Xiao she’ll work on matchmaking.
- Lu Ming talks with his sister on the phone and tells her not to worry about finding him a partner. He runs into Mr. He and they walk the dogs together. Lu Ming tells Mr. He he has a good friend who lives in the area called He Fan Xing.
- Fan Xing calls the jewellery store to get the necklace back. It’s already been sold to another customer. There’s no stock left for the limited edition.
Lu Ming Meets the Parents
- Lu Ming comes up to Fan Xing’s home and meets the parents. He compliments Fan Xing and says she’s an amazing woman. Mrs. He tells him to come often and join them for dinner. She asks for his contact info. Fan Xing comes home and is surprised to see Lu Ming.
- Fan Xing asks Lu Ming if he purposely got close to her father. She’s in a bad mood and tells Lu Ming she returned the necklace Yuan Song gave her. He laughs at her and tells her she would’ve successfully ruined his ego by waving the money in his face. Fan Xing feels regretful and wants to buy back the necklace as soon as possible.
- Fan Xing’s nosy and asks Lu Ming how’s his progress with his crush. Lu Ming asks why she doesn’t wear the necklace he gave her. He wonders if she returned his necklace as well. He doesn’t understand why his crush hasn’t noticed him yet.
- Song Xue reads an article on school girls dating older men for their money. Can Yang sees it’s about Min Min. She asks Can Yang his thoughts if it was the other way around.
Fan Xing Tries To Reason with Yuan Song
- Fan Xing and her coworkers talk about love and life during lunch. After, she meets up with Yuan Song. It’ll be May 20th in a couple of days (Chinese Valentine’s). She asks Yuan Song if he’s already gotten something for her. He has.
- Fan Xing tells him he’s just about to enter the workforce and his earning potential is just at a start point. Yuan Song doesn’t understand what she’s trying to say. She tells him what older guys have he’ll eventually have as well. She doesn’t want him to go out of his means to buy things for her and that he doesn’t need to rush. Yuan Song just looks at her. He tells her not to worry and that everything’s under his control. He wants her to wear the necklace tomorrow and Fan Xing agrees.
- Song Xue comes over and Fan Xing and Can Yang and her play cards. Fan Xing wins at every game.
Fan Xing Gets the Necklace Back!
- Lu Ming chats with Su Li. She tells him to give up on the girl if it doesn’t seem like it’ll work out. Lu Ming says he’s never failed. He tells Su Li Fan Xing will pick up the phone if he calls. Fan Xing ignores his calls.
- Fan Xing asks Yuan Song to come in to her office. She starts to tell him about the necklace but when she opens her package she sees that it’s the necklace. Fan Xing changes topics. Yuan Song is confused.
- Fan Xing invites Lu Ming out to dinner to thank him for the necklace. She repays him for the necklace. He’s angry at her and says she should pay 3x the price for it. Fan Xing apologizes.
- Jenny protects Min Min from her roommates. They were the ones that spread the news on Min Min. They think Jenny’s in it for Min Min’s money and connections as well.
