- Yue Xuan, Hai Tang, Mo Hua and Long De Shui’s troops arrive to stop Shi Ji Zhou. They tell him General Hu lost. Yue Xuan knows Shi Ji Zhou was the one that killed Yan Zhi. Shi Ji Zhou takes Yue Ming at gunpoint and leaves.
- Yue Xuan and Hai Tang run after Shi Ji Zhou. Hai Tang decides to give the Fu Rong Gao formula. Ji Zhou confirms he was the one that killed Gu Shun Qi.
- Hai Tang walks over with the last page from the book. Soldiers aim at Shi Ji Zhou, killing him. Hai Tang hits her head on the ground, falling unconscious.
- At the hospital the doctors explain Hai Tang might not wake. Yue Xuan decides to bring her out of the hospital.
- Yue Xuan and Hai Tang stay at his garden. He continues to take care of her and hope she’ll wake.
- A year passes. Hai Tang still hasn’t woken. Lang Li Chun is back to its prosperous state.
- Yue Ming leaves Kunyang. Mo Hua says goodbye. He decides to go abroad to learn Western techniques.
- Hai Tang wakes. Yue Xuan finds her looking at flowers. She doesn’t remember him. He tells her their story. Hai Tang hugs him and thanks him for everything he’s done for her over this year. They kiss and later get married.
Mini Review
Wow it took me a really long time to get myself to finish watching this drama. I came to watch Deng Lun for this drama but just wasn’t excited about the story and all the little misunderstandings and ups and downs of the main couple. I found tricking Hai Tang to marry Yue Ming to be ridiculous and then the fact that Yue Ming thought Yue Xuan stole her after from him to be equally outrageous. In general, the story was slow and the actions of most people in Lang family were quite ridiculous. I’m surprised I was able to finish this drama (I watched mostly at 1.25-1.5x speed). Sadly, this just didn’t live up to my expectations for Deng Lun’s usual work. I’m pretty disappointed with this drama. My verdict? It was mediocre at best.
