- Xin Qiao thinks they punished Manager Shang on purpose. She’s scared and Shi Ji Zhou tells her to stay low.
- Miao Lan takes care of Yue Xuan. Yue Xuan calls out for Hai Tang. She holds his hand. Mrs. Lang sees and slaps her. She asks for forgiveness and Mrs. Lang tells her to kneel in front of Yue Yuan.
- Yue Xuan wakes and Hai Tang tells him the mole is Xin Qiao. Hai Tang feeds him medicine.
- Si Nian apologizes to Yue Xuan. Yue Xuan asks to leave Lang Li Chun for a while and to hand things over to Yue Ming.
- Hai Tang lets slip to Xin Qiao that the swan goose rouge has flaws and can’t be used by pregnant women.
- Yue Xuan announces to the staff Yue Ming will take over his duties. Yue Xuan tells Hai Tang he’ll be living at the Hai Tang garden for a while.
Shi Ji Zhou Runs Into Trouble
- Long De Shui’s concubine faints and has a miscarriage. They find the rouge has musk in it which led to the miscarriage.
- Long De Shui finds out it’s from Shi Hang Lu and arrests Shi Ji Zhou. He trashes Shi Hang Lu and stops all their shipments.
- Long De Shui takes Shi Hang Lu’s returned shipment from Hua Ji Li and burns it in Kunyang’s square.
- Mo Hua comforts her father. Long De Shui mourns the loss of his unborn son.
- Ah Wen begs Yue Xuan to help. Yue Xuan considers it. Yue Xuan asks Si Nian to save Shi Ji Zhou. Si Nian won’t help.
- Shi Ji Zhou delivers a letter to Si Nian with the words “hairpin” on it. Si Nian agrees to help Shi Ji Zhou as it’ll benefit Lang Li Chun and the rouge industry in the future.
- Si Nian asks Long De Shui to let Shi Ji Zhou agrees. Long De Shui agrees reluctantly.
Hai Tang Works Hard to Help Yue Xuan
- Hai Tang’s spirits are low. She wants to kick out the mole and fix their swan goose rouge.
- Long De Shui releases Shi Ji Zhou. Ji Zhou blames Xin Qiao and tells her to place explosives in Lang Li Chun’s lab.
- Hai Tang visits Yue Xuan. She thinks he’s lazy and hiding out and lectures him.
