Plot Synopsis:
In 2015, Beijing successfully wins the bid to host the 2022 Winter Olympics. In response to the national “Arctic South Exhibition” strategy, Zheng Kai Xin, a former member of the national short track speed skating team, leads the establishment of the Qingdao speed skating team and begins to find newcomers for the ice events.
Out of love for short track speed skating, roller skating girl Chen Mian takes the initiative to join the start-up Qingdao short track speed skating team.
Skating is full of difficulties. In her journey, Chen Mian stumbles and grows up. From a non-professional player, she becomes the main player of the Qingdao team, and enters the national team. She also finally wins the recognition of her father, Chen Jing Ye, who had never been optimistic about her.
Turns out, Chen Jing Ye and Zheng Kai Xin were close comrades-in-arms on the national team. They once shared their youth and sweat for the goal of winning glory for the country, and parted ways because of the heavy pressure of winning gold.
With the older generation of athletes retired, the new generation stand on the stage with a more open and tolerant attitude. On the ice, the two generations of athletes complete the relay and inheritance of sportsmanship, and Chen Mian is also ready to represent China in the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics.
