- The kids at school gossip about the suicide. Ying Zi tells them she saw Ding Yi at night. Ying Zi felt she could have helped more.
- The kids chat about the pressures they face.
- The parents chat. Song Qian wonders if she should let Ying Zi go to Nan Da.
- Sheng Li wants to pay Fang Yuan for bringing him and Liu Jing to the hospital. Sheng Li almost lets slip that Liu Jing is sick.
- Ying Zi asks Song Qian if she’s only worrying about her because of Ding Yi’s situation. Song Qian never cared for Ying Zi’s opinions during the important times. Ying Zi tell her she won’t go die.
- Liu Jing wants to know what Ding Yi was looking for. He wrote “I really don’t want to..” but the rest is illegible.
- Fang Yuan and Wen Jie talk about the suicide and depression. He feels these psychological issues were not present during their generation.
- Yi Fan and Lei Lei comes back. Wen Jie hugs them and tells them to treasure life.
- Fang Yuan and Wen Jie go to the police station. His parents had borrowed money from their neighbours and were scammed. They lost 800K RMB.
- Fang Yuan and Wen Jie try to figure out how to come up with the money. Yi Fan eavesdrops and listens from outside.
