- Wen Jie doesn’t believe in a future from art school. She doesn’t want Yi Fan to take this risk and be jobless. Fang Yuan says they should at least try.
- Fang Yuan wants to tell the kids he lost his job. He doesn’t think they should hide it.
- Wei Dong and Ying Zi eat hotpot. She listens to how he left home. Ying Zi tells him she wants to go to Nan Da. Wei Dong says it’s too far.
- Fang Yuan tells the kids he lost his job. The kids stay quiet.
- Xiao Meng comes to Wei Dong’s home. He tells her to leave. Xiao Meng starts to yell. He tells her Ying Zi is more important. She breaks up with him.
- Fang Yuan wonders if it was a good idea to tell the kids. Yi Fan comes in to talk about the matter. He feels he’s let them down. Wen Jie tells him to stay strong and focus on his studies. Yi Fan says he’ll give up art school. They hug it out.
- Song Qian comes in to talk with Ying Zi. She tells her she loves her. Ying Zi asks her opinion on Nan Da. Song Qian says she’s already planned Ying Zi’s future.
- Fang Yuan asks Yi Fan if he didn’t lose his job would Yi Fan still want to apply for art school. Yi Fan says yes.
- Fang Yuan calls Wei Dong to ask for Xiao Meng’s help for Yi Fan’s application. Wei Dong has apologized to Xiao Meng and they’ve made up.
