- Ying Zi and Liu Jing talk. Ying Zi thinks she must be a good mom. Liu Jing tells her parents can never be exactly what their kids want.
- Yi Fan plays DDR. Wen Jie and Fang Yuan watch. Fang Yuan thinks Yi Fan must’ve gotten his good genes.
- They head to dinner. Yi Fan’s DDR clip goes viral. He thinks about being a star. Wen Jie receives a call from Teacher Li and finds out his city ranking is the lower 15%.
- Wen Jie drags Yi Fan to tutoring. The exams were easier this time around so his score was higher. In reality he didn’t improve. They argue and Yi Fan leaves.
- Song Qian comes talk to Wen Jie. Song Qian calls Teacher Li and hears Ying Zi’s score. She finds out Ying Zi has skipped school.
- Yi Fan comes home alone and lies in bed. Fang Yuan comforts him and shows him how Wen Jie is a good mom.
- Wen Jie comes home and goes to her room. Yi Fan tears up. Fang Yuan tells Yi Fan to apologize to his mom. Yi Fan admits he’s at fault, Wen Jie doesn’t say anything.
- Wen Jie cries and feels she’s wasted her 18 years on Yi Fan. Fang Yuan comforts her.
- Wen Jie apologizes to Yi Fan. They hug it out.
- Liu Jing tells Sheng Li Yang Yang’s marks didn’t improve. Liu Jing says marks aren’t the most important but rather the kid’s health and happiness.
- Ying Zi comes home. Song Qian works while Ying Zi eats dinner. Ying Zi tells her midterms came out. She cries at her low ranking.
