- Ying Zi’s dad arrives. Song Qian doesn’t let him up. He gets stopped by security for trespassing and brought to questioning. It’s a misunderstanding.
- Qiao Wei Dong heads up to the apartment. He gives Ying Zi a telescope.
- Wen Jie and Yi Fan arrive at Song Qian’s. Song Qian doesn’t want Wei Dong to stay for dinner. He waits for Fang Yuan.
- Wen Jie discusses Yi Fan’s repeat year with Song Qian. She worries.
- Yang Yang eats with his grandparents. They want him to stay with them. Yang Yang doesn’t want to live with his parents. They haven’t been back in years to see him and he doesn’t accept them as his parents.
- Wen Jie talks with Fang Yuan about the repeat year. She hopes Lei Lei can help Yi Fan in his studies when he comes.
- Sheng Li arrives at the hotel. He watches Yang Yang sleep and sees his bad marks. Sheng Li doesn’t know how to care for Yang Yang.
- The school assembly begins. Song Qian is surprised to see Wei Dong.
- The students march in, class by class. The kids are in senior class 3. Ying Zi and Tao Zi are top students, strong in science.
- Sheng Li gives a speech. The kids find out Yang Yang is his son. Fang Yuan recognizes Sheng Li as his childhood friend.
- Tao Zi gives a speech. Yi Fan takes pictures of the assembly. He climbs up to a higher vantage point and slips.
