- Ying Zi comes home. Her mom ignores her.
- Liu Jing goes to the doctor’s. They do scans to determine what the pain signifies.
- Fang Yuan interviews with a lawyer friend. His friend tells him he’s probably not suitable to work at a law firm, given his age.
- Fang Yuan runs into a young worker who asks for a ride.
- Song Qian and Wen Jie go to Xiao Meng’s yoga class. Song Qian doesn’t do the poses and calls her a mistress. They argue. Xiao Meng asks to be sisters as she will be Ying Zi’s stepmom in the future.
- Fang Yuan looks for jobs. Wen Jie and Song Qian talk about being mothers.
- Fang Yuan talks to Wen Jie about jobs. He thinks about being a taxi driver, Wen Jie objects. Wen Jie supports him to find a job he likes and is challenging.
- Liu Jing, Ying Zi, Song Qian can’t fall asleep. The next day, Liu Jing is preoccupied while making breakfast. She snaps at Sheng Li and Yang Yang Yang.
- Ying Zi apologizes to her mom. Song Qian stays in her room.
- The Fang family eat breakfast. Lei Lei does last minute studying for midterms. Fang Yuan almost lets slip that he’s jobless.
- Liu Jing hits another car while driving. She gets into a fight with the other driver. She leaves Sheng Li with the car and walks away.
- The students head in to write their midterms.
