Summary: The Chinese drama is adapted from Guan Han Qing’s work “Zhao Pan’er Fengyue Jiu Fengchen”. It tells the story of three women who experience various difficulties and join hands to bravely enter Bianjing. They try to turn Yongan Tower into the largest restaurant in Bianjing.
Plot Synopsis:
Zhao Pan Er, who opens a teahouse in Hangzhou, finally receives good news that her fiancé Ouyang Xu is in Beijing High School, but is abandoned tragically.
Unwilling to accept her fate, she vows to go to Bianjing to seek justice. On the way to Bianjing, she also rescues Sun San Niang, who has an unfortunate marriage and tries to commit suicide by drowning. At the same time, she has to rush to rescue her good friend Song Yin Zhang, who was cheated on marriage and abused on the way to Bianjing.
When Ouyang Xu learns that Zhao Pan Er has come to the capital, he tries to drive her out of Bianjing. Zhao Pan Er, Song Yin Zhang, and Sun San Niang decide to stay in Bianjing and make a breakthrough on their own.
After going through all kinds of hardships and struggles, the three friends finally turn a small teahouse into the largest restaurant in Bianjing.
After struggling hard, Zhao Pan Er sees more of life, and also resolves her the obsession with Ouyang Xu’s hatred. At the same time, she also opens a door of equal redemption for humble woman in ancient times.

Liu Yi Fei 刘亦菲 as Zhao Pan Er 赵盼儿
The shopkeeper of the small teahouse, she is a little girl who comes from Hangzhou to the capital to seek revenge on her ex-fiance who dissolved their marriage. She opens the small teahouse and makes it the largest restaurant in Bianjing. She accompanies Song Yin Zhang and Sun San Niang, takes them out of their predicament, and finds a place in Bianjing.
Chen Xiao 陈晓 as Gu Qian Fan 顾千帆
The deputy envoy of the Imperial City Division, he has skills, looks, and wisdom. As the son of a powerful minister, he could have enjoyed the shadow of his father’s position, but he fights to pave a way for himself. He is ruthless to himself, and the imperial court is strict. His unselfish and resolute behaviour makes him a “living Yama” among the people. He meets Zhao Pan Er in a public case, and when facing Zhao Pan’er, he is meticulous and caring.

Due to an unfortunate marriage, she tries to commit suicide by drowning. She is rescued by Zhao Pan Er and later becomes the head chef of Yongan Building.

She is a pipa teacher in the Jiaofang, a woman who is cheated and abused in her marriage, and a good friend of Zhao Pan Er. Later, she becomes famous in the capital by virtue of her superb pipa skills.
